Person Detection

Wyze Cams come with motion detection alerts, but they can’t tell a tree from a person. Cam Plus gives you the option to only receive alerts when a person is detected.

Zero Wait Time

Wyze Cams have a 5-minute2 cooldown period in between event videos and you can only see the events after they are over. Cam Plus has no wait time between event recordings and you can jump right into the event while it’s recording.

Package Detection

Wyze Cams can only alert you if they detect sound or motion. Cam Plus can notify you when a package is spotted in an Event Video of your front door or porch.

Vehicle Detection

Can I only have one of the services in Cam Plus?

Sorry, Cam Plus services aren’t available for purchase separately.

Can a shared user upgrade to Cam Plus?

Shared users cannot manage a Wyze Services subscription, including Cam Plus. Adding, upgrading, and removing a subscription can only be done by the primary account owner.

If I have microSD cards, does Cam Plus change anything with how they work?

Cam Plus will not change any of your microSD card functions with your Wyze Cam. You can use both at the same time.

Do Cam Plus event recordings end when motion stops?

When motion stops, your Wyze Cam will stop capturing video. Event videos will only record while motion is detected. Exception: Wyze Cam Outdoor devices have a customizable time limit for Event Videos to conserve battery life.

Do I need to reset the detection area or sensitivity settings when using Cam Plus?

No. You don’t have to. Your current detection area and sensitivity settings will not be changed by Cam Plus. You can adjust your detection and sensitivity settings to change event recording frequency, but this is available as a standard Wyze Cam feature.

Can shared users see my Cam Plus Events?

Yes.

Can I use Alexa on a Wyze Cam with Cam Plus?

Integrations like Alexa and Google Home are not affected by subscribing to Cam Plus. Your voice commands, schedules, and shortcuts will all continue to work as usual.

Can I purchase Cam Plus as a gift?

No, a Cam Plus subscription cannot be gifted. Only the account owner can subscribe to Cam Plus and assign it to their device(s).

How many people can Cam Plus identify in a recording?

Everyone, there's no limit. Wyze Cams subscribed to Cam Plus should identify all people detected, no limits.

How long are Cam Plus Event Videos?

5 minutes. The duration of an Event video on a Wyze Cam v2, v3 or Pan subscribed to Cam Plus is 5 minutes. There is no cooldown period in-between events, so another 5-minute video will start recording if the event goes longer than 5 minutes. Exception: Event videos on Wyze Cam Outdoor can record for between 12 seconds to 5 minutes based on your settings.

Can I transfer my Cam Plus subscription to another device?

Yes, you can transfer any Wyze Service between devices. A Cam Plus subscription isn't permanently locked to one device. You can transfer Cam Plus from one Wyze Cam to another in the Wyze app.

What are the annual and monthly prices for Cam Plus?

Cam Plus MSRP is $1.99/mo or $23.88/year. Wyze is currently running a promotion for annual plans, making them temporarily $14.99/year when purchased upfront (cannot be combined with other promotions).

How do I cancel my Cam Plus subscription?

If you are on the two-week free trial that comes with Wyze Cam devices, there is no need to cancel. The default two-week trial does not automatically renew. If you are a paid subscriber, follow the instructions here to cancel your subscription.

What is the refund policy for Cam Plus?

We use a time-based proration system powered by Recurly. Any immediate subscription changes will prorate the charges and credits based on time down to the second and the unused portion will be refunded to you using this formula:

(Time remaining in current billing period / Subscription's plan period) x (Per unit price) x (Cameras being adjusted)
